‘Sláinte’ – pronounced ‘Slawn-tcha’ – is the Gaelic for ‘good health’. The company was founded by CEO, Andrew Murphy, in 2006, and now one of the fastest growing healthcare technology companies in the UK and Ireland. Andrew was awarded the Emerging Business Entrepreneur of the Year Award, 2008. Slainte is now poised for major growth in North America.
The company has over 30 staff between the UK and Ireland, and has customers and partners in Ireland, UK and Canada.
Management Team
Andrew Murphy, Chief Executive Officer
Andrew founded Slainte Technologies in 2006. Prior to founding Slainte Technologies, Andrew held senior management roles with Henkel, leading major software-led efficiency improvements that delivered major cost reductions and quality improvements. Andrew has a Chemical Engineering degree from Cork Institute of Technology, and a first class honours MBA from Smurfit Business School, UCD.
Billy Diggin, Chief Operating Officer
Billy joined Sláinte Technologies in 2009 as Chief Operating Officer, where he has responsibility for day-to-day technical operations, new product development, and commercial assessment of new products and markets. Billy brings 20 years of experience in product and business development in electronics manufacturing and software automation.
Billy was VP Engineering and VP Business Development for Xsil, Director of Software, Pentus Technologies. He has a Bachelor's and Masters Degrees in Engineering from the University of Limerick, and a first class honours MBA from Smurfit Business School, UCD.
David Nash, Chairman
David is currently the CEO of Rendition Digital, a Dublin-headquartered company which focuses on providing low cost, high quality software develpment, multimedia and back-office processing services from its Asian offices.
Previously David was the founder and CEO of formerly NASDAQ-listed PeopleSupport Inc., an offshore business process outsourcing company with over 10,000 employees. PeopleSupport provides customer service management, transcription and captioning, and additional BPO services through its centres in the Philippines, Costa Rica and the United States. In 2008 PeopleSupport was purchased by Essar Corporation, the third largest Corporation in India.
He has lectured in the area of Healthcare management at University College Dublin.
David holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and an MSc. from London School of Economics, and a BA from Trinity College Dublin, in Economics..
