Sláinte Technologies has announced the appointment of Billy Diggin as Chief Operating Officer, to add depth to the company's management team as the company expands.
"Billy is highly talented and has vast experience in international commercialisation of cutting edge technologies, and is thus an excellent addition to our management team. It speaks volumes for Sláinte that we could attract such a blue-chip candidate, and in addition positions us well as we expand our market and product horizons", commented Andrew Murphy, Sláinte's CEO.
"Billy will take on many day-to-day responsibilities including overall responsibility for client implementations and directing the company's R&D activities. He will also have input into the broader commercial expansion of the organisation as we prepare to enter new geographical markets."
Billy has 20 years of experience in product and business development, in industries as diverse as capital equipment, electronics manufacturing, software automation and related industries, during which time he has worked with several international clients.
Billy has served in several senior management positions over the last 14 years, including VP Engineering and VP Business Development for Xsil Ltd as well as Director of Software for Pentus Technologies. He has also held several technical roles prior to such positions.
Billy received his Bachelor's and Masters Degrees in Engineering from the University of Limerick in 1989 and 1991 respectively, and an MBA from Smurfit Business School in 2006. |
