Sláinte Technologies is poised for growth in the UK healthcare sector having opened its first office in the market.
Sláinte's focus in the UK market is initially predicated on delivering integration solutions and services, as well as implementing its growing array of clinical systems.
"We had considered that we would not open a UK office until mid-2009, but given the level of engagement we were seeing in the market, it was necessary for us to establish a base for ourselves much sooner than we anticipated" according to Sláinte founder and CEO, Andrew Murphy.
Sláinte's UK subsidiary (also named Slainte Technologies) will be in the Daresbury Innovation Centre, near Warrington, conveniently located between Liverpool, Manchester and Chester in the North-West of England. The office will be led by Sláinte's Integration Manager, Dominic Green.
The location of the office was a sticking point for some time, but the search finally paid off, according to Andrew Murphy. "When assessing location, we reviewed many options, but we quickly settled on Daresbury. We were highly impressed with the facilities and the professionalism of the staff at the facility, and the location perfectly suits the client base that we are building in the UK. We are working with the Countess of Chester Hospital, the North Mersey Healthcare Informatics Service, and we are currently in discussions with some major third-party vendors to support their integration needs. It is quite possible that by the end of 2009, our UK presence could outstrip our Irish base". |
